Welcome to Anacapa Yacht Club

The Anacapa Yacht Club (AYC) was established in 1967 with the intended purpose of promoting sailboat racing in the Oxnard area. AYC was chartered by Southern California Yachting Association on November 25th 1967 and incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the state of California. 

AYC has provided an excellent racing program to area boaters for many years and continues to do so. Our longest running race, and still one of the most popular, is the Anacapa Island Race Series. Our most popular event is our Wet Wednesday series, held every Wednesday evening from March through October.

Along with our renowned racing program we have regular cruising events. AYC’s cruising is offered to both sail and power boats with a heavy emphasis on friends, family and fellow boaters.

AYC is a self-help yacht club with it’s members providing all of the human resources necessary to put on the many events during each year. We are a small group of sailors that enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a less formal yacht club. Come visit us to see what it’s all about.
