NOTICE OF RACE
Anacapa Yacht Club Presents: St. Patrick’s Race, SATURDAY, March 16, 2024
RULES
This race will be governed by the rules as defined in the racing rules of sailing. Any changes to the rules allowed by rule 86 will be stated in the sailing instructions with rule number and specific change.
FEES
The entry fee for all classes is $40 per boat on the day of the race or by prepayment to through the Anacapa Yacht Club website HERE or 2810 S Harbor Blvd #B6, Oxnard, CA 93035. AYC Members in good standing do not pay race fees. One dinner ticket is included, additional dinner tickets are available at AYC for $13

Check-In: On the water on channel 68 or come within hailing distance prior to the starting sequence of the first race
Race Start: 1130 @ Mandalay Spar
Post Race: 1700 @ AYC - Cocktails & Snacks | 1800 Dinner | 2000 Awards Presentation

Random Leg Sailing Instructions
Course chart can be found HERE
The random-leg race will begin at the Mandalay Spar and finish at the Channel Islands Harbor. Course options range between 3.1 nm and 19.1 nm.
SCORING
PHRF Low Scoring
Boats finished after 1700 take their own finish time and report to Race Committee by radio, text (805.509.3784) or in person at AYC
Results posted at AYC ASAP after race and with-in 48 hours on the AYC Website
FLEETS
The Fleets are open to Spinnaker & Non-Spinnaker classes.
“A” PHRF rating less than 130
”B” PHRF 130-180
”C” PHRF 180+ shorter courses

Each participating boat shall have valid third-party liability insurance. Competitors will acknowledge that they participate entirely at their own risk (see rule 3, Decision to race). The organizing authorities do not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with, prior to, or after the race.
