NOTICE OF RACE
Anacapa Yacht Club Wet Wednesdays

RULES
This race will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing. Any changes to the rules allowed by rule 86 will be stated in the Sailing Instructions with the rule number and specific change.
FLEETS & CLASSES: The Regatta and Random-Leg Fleets are open to Spinnaker & Non-Spinnaker classes.
RACE ENTRY & FEES
Competitors may enter by delivering a completed entry form and paying the $25 per race or $250 for the series per boat or competitor at the AYC Yacht Club after the race or through the AYC Website WW Registration. AYC club members in good standing do not pay entry fees. Check in with Race Committee on Channel 68.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Each Wednesday April 10 through September 25, 2024. Check-In on the water channel 68 prior to the starting sequence, each race. Race starts at 1800 outside north of detached breakwater Channel Islands Harbor. Come to AYC to discuss the race and BBQ. Awards presentation approximately 2000 at AYC after each race.

INSURANCE & DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Each participating boat shall have valid third-party liability insurance. Competitors will acknowledge that they participate entirely at their own risk (see Rule 3, Decision to Race). The organizing authorities do not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury, illness, or death sustained in conjunction with, prior to, or after the race. Racers and skippers are reminded of RRS 4 (“The responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone.”
ORGANIZING AUTHORITY

RADIO COMMUNICATION
Each participating boat shall be able to send and receive radio communications via VHF radio on normal marine channels including, but not limited to Channels 16, 68, and 69.
ENGINE
Each participating boat shall have a working auxiliary engine capable of allowing her to return to the harbor from the race course.
